Council of Europe prolongs sanctions over Ukraine for 6 months

BRUSSELS, Mar 12 (PRIME) -- The Council of Europe has prolonged sanctions against 150 individuals and 38 companies over the political crisis in Ukraine for six months, until September 15, the authority said in a statement on Monday.

The current measures will expire on Thursday.

A source with knowledge of the matter told PRIME earlier that the committee of permanent representatives to the E.U. had voted for rollover of the anti-Russia blacklist for six months without changes.
